The new energy equation for developing countries

Article Abstract:

Energy supply expansion have been prescribed as the necessary foundation for industry expansion, job provision and the raising of standard of living in developing countries. However, despite the rise in Third World energy use, income disparity between developed and developing countries have widened. There is a need to refocus the provision of energy services to the real keys of economic and social development. This can be done by the utilization of more energy-efficient technologies and the development of less costly and ecologically destructive energy supplies.
