The ocean's salt fingers

Article Abstract:

Salt fingers are narrow vertical currents of low-salinity water formed by variations in density and temperature in the ocean depths. Despite their relatively small size, they are believed to have a significant impact on the structure of the upper ocean.

Access to safe drinking water

Article Abstract:

Most developing countries lack access to safe drinking water because of inadequate sanitary facilities. The sub-Saharan Africa, India and the Middle East were found to have the highest mortality rate from waterborne and sanitation-related diseases.
