Trypanosome mystery solved?

Researchers have discovered a process that destroys the Trypanosoma brucei brucei protozoan in lab culture. The discovery could lead to the development of trypanosome-resistant strains of cattle for areas of Africa in which cattle cannnot be raised due to the parasite.
