Strategies for recruiting and retaining qualified workers by small engineering firms in a strong economy and a tight job market are discussed. The salary, retirement plans, and flexible schedules are some of the personnel managment challenges the firms have to address.

This museum is in memorial to all the significant achievements made between the first flight by Wright Brothers and the rovers successful landing on Mars

Underdesigned gusset plates cited by NTSB in I-35W bridge collapse investigation

Article Abstract:

The National Transportation Safety Board recovered underdesigned gusset plates in their investigation of the I-35W bridge collapse in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The NTSB discovered that the plates were fractured early in the collapse and were not designed to withstand additional loads caused by increased traffic.
