Underground contracts for the 21st century

Article Abstract:

The requirement for the modern tunnel contract has arises due to the need to eliminate disputes among the tunnel-construction community comprising of owners, engineers and contractors. The contract renders a fixed sum as the contractor's profit, which is independent of the cost or schedule. The contractor is responsible for methods and means of work and the equipment is hired at a fixed lump sum. The cost of construction is paid as and when incurred. The contact advocates reimbursement of costs incurred due to human error.

A framework for sustainable advantage in global high-tech markets

Article Abstract:

Two models that describe evolving competition in technology-intensive industries are presented. The models offer insights into the sources of long-term market leadership. The value of technology-based products and services in terms of commodity content and embodiment of explicit and tacit knowledge is represented by the first model. Increasing rates of innovation, the absorption and accumulation of valuable knowledge assets are identified by the second model.

Scientists' salaries and the implicit contracts theory of labour markets

Article Abstract:

Research is presented concerning the evaluation of two alternative, well-defined implicit labor market models of scientists within the labor market. The effect of citations on the salaries of scientists is discussed.
