Vehicle Infrastructure Integration test beds planned for Detroit

Article Abstract:

The Vehicle Infrastructure Integration (VII) program tests, being conducted by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), involve the use of a wireless network that enables vehicles to communicate with each other and with roadside equipment. The program will gather information on speed travel, road surface conditions, air temperature to better manage traffic and highways and to reduce accidents.

Sacramento utility to improve river area

The Sacramento Municipal Utility District has designed new regulations for improving water levels in American River. This project is expected to increase water levels by 10- 30 percent.
