Water utilities triumph over MTBE 'safe harbor' provisions

Article Abstract:

The comprehensive energy bill (P.L.109-058: the Energy Policy Act of 2005) with safe harbor provisions increased the use of water utilities over the oil and petroleum as methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) when added to the gasoline to improve the air quality contaminates drinking water supplies is discussed.
