What is polluting our beaches?

Article Abstract:

Many beaches are polluted by beachgoers and ocean vessels. Marine garbage from these sources often consist of cigarette butts, plastic and glass beverage bottles, plastic food packaging and rubber balloons. Fertilizers, sediment and partially treated sewage also contribute to marine pollution.
