World's stability requires U.S. aid

Article Abstract:

Many Americans wrongly think that the US spends too much on foreign aid and fail to realize the embarrassing fact that the US ranks fourth in the world in the overall amount of resources it gives foreign countries. The US Agency for International Development performs various humanitarian services worldwide, such as the introduction of immunization programs in Third World countries and the provision of business advice to faltering Latin American countries. Such misconceptions may cause the floundering of a program, which, in truth, transforms the world into a more stable and safer place.
