Longitudinal driving performance in early-stage dementia of the Alzheimer type

Article Abstract:

A prospective longitudinal study is undertaken to assess on-road driving performance in healthy older adults and those with early stage dementia of the Alzheimer type (DAT). Findings indicate a decline in the driving performance over time and support the need for revaluation of individuals with very mild and mild DAT.
