Age differences in dynamical emotion-cognition linkages

Article Abstract:

A study was undertaken to show the link among positive emotion, negative emotion, and cognition as the participants performed a difficult cognitive task. It was found that younger adults' emotions were more susceptible to interferences from both external and internal sources.

The aging decision maker: cognitive aging and the adaptive selection of decision strategies

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to find out the relationship between cognitive aging and decision making. It was seen that older adults many times relied on strategies that were simpler more often compared with young adults.

Perceived self-efficiency and everday problem solving among young and older adults

Article Abstract:

The speculation that age differences in both self-efficiency perceptions and problem solving performance would vary as a function of the ecological relevance of problems to young and older adults is explored.
