Preserved spatial memory over brief intervals in older adults

Article Abstract:

Research was done in two studies, which compared young and older adults' memory for location information after brief intervals. In conclusion, the data suggests that initial encoding of spatial information for relatively small numbers of items is largely preserved in healthy older adults and that representations of spatial information persist over short intervals.

Aging and variety seeking

An experiment was carried out to find out if there are any age differences in the seeking of variety among individuals. It was observed that older adults chose less variety when they were planning something for future consumption than consuming items immediately.
