Results of medical laboratory tests are not always reliable as they can sometimes be inaccurate. Common laboratory errors can result from shoddy lab work, inadequate or poor sample and other complications. Even tests considered tried and true can miss problems. Strategies include ensuring that the lab is duly accredited and seeking a second opinion.
