Commemorating the 50th anniversary of JAGS: the aging syndrome

A reprint of a 1953 article on the physiological aspects of aging is presented, focusing on degenerative processes. Treatment processes identified include passive, palliative, therapeutic, prophylactic, and rehabilitative-prophylactic.
