Don't let one spouse handle all the finances

Article Abstract:

Elderly couples should learn to share sensitive financial information with each other as a contingency measure for possible incapacity of the spouse holding the financial information. Couples should have a durable power of attorney, a living will as well as share sensitive information about social security numbers, insurance, finances and assets.

Middle aged married couples seeking divorce should consult experts to ensure an equitable sharing of retirement income. Two different scenarios showing the importance of retirement planning experts in the fair settlement of retirement incomes are discussed.
