Hypertension in older urban Native-American primary care patients

Article Abstract:

Hypertension and its management are examined in a population of older urban American Indians and Alaska Natives. It was observed that there is a need for improvements in adherence to recommendations in older urban American Indians and Alaskan Natives for the detection, management, and monitoring of hypertension and its complications.

Quality of life while dying: a qualitative study of terminally ill older men

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted from the perspective of terminally ill men, to characterize the experience of quality of life while dying. The results found that the participants saw engaging in hobbies and other enjoyable activities as an alternative to moving into the final stage of illness.

Treatment of elderly and other adult patients for depression in primary care

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to find out whether there is any difference in treatment of depression in older and younger patients in primary care clinics. The results strongly suggest a possible pattern of underattention to the oldest depressed patients.
