Interventions improve gait regularity in patients with peripheral neuropathy while walking on an irregular surface under low light

Article Abstract:

The use of a cane, ankle orthoses, or touch of a vertical surface by the older patients with peripheral neuropathy demonstrates improved spatial and temporal measures of gait regularity while walking under challenging conditions. The ankle orthoses is the most practical intervention as the cane decreases the speed and the vertical surface is not readily available.
