Keeping your feet happy

Article Abstract:

Older people can take a number of steps to provide better care for their feet. These include soaking them in warm water with a few drops of oil at the end of the day, selecting the right shoes and putting foot powder in shoes to absorb moisture. Tips on caring for common foot ailments are presented.

The wonders of walking: new research shows that this simple activity may be the ideal exercise for both body and mind

Research on the health benefits of walking is discussed. Studies indicate that walking improves cardiovascular function, particularly blood flow to the brain. Walking also reduces risk of heart attack and high blood pressure.
