Lipoprotein A serum levels and vascular diseases in an older Caucasian population cohort

Article Abstract:

This article examines the relationship between serum concentrations of lipoprotein A and vascular disease risk in older Caucasian adults in Italy. Findings indicate that the combined effects of elevated serum levels of lipoprotein A and a smoking history significantly increase the risk of developing a vascular disease.
