Vascular risk and cognitive impairment in an older, British, African-Caribbean population

Article Abstract:

This article examines the relationship between cardiovascular risk factors and cognitive impairment in a sample of older, Caribbean-born British subjects. Findings indicate that there were significant associations between cardiovascular health and cognition disorders but they were mediated by physical activity levels and educational status.

Age, vascular risk, and cognitive decline in an older, British, African-Caribbean population

Article Abstract:

A survey was conducted among older African-Caribbean population, to investigate relationship between baseline factors and subsequent cognitive decline. The results indicated that cognitive decline was strongly related with increased age, but not directly with sex, education, diabetes mellitus, or exercise.

Does social activity influence the accuracy of subjective memory deficit? Findings from a British community survey

Study to determine the association between subjective memory deficit (SMD) and cognitive impairment in a British community population is presented. Influence of person's social environment on SMD is also determined.
