Postmenopausal hormone replacement therapy use by older Mexican-American women

Article Abstract:

This study examines the prevalence of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) use among aged Mexican-American women. Findings suggest that the proportion of HRT use is lower than that reported by aged non-Hispanic white women, and the relationship between access to the US health care system and HRT use is discussed.

Self-reported heart attack in Mexican-American elders: examination of incidence, prevalence, and 7-year mortality

Article Abstract:

The prevalence, incidence, and mortality of self-reported heart attack in older Mexican-Americans are examined. This heart attack is associated with being older and male and having diabetes mellitus, hypertension, stroke, and instrumental daily living activities disabilities.
