Predictors of varying levels of nonadherence to mammography screening in older women

Article Abstract:

The predictors of different levels of nonadherence to mammography screening in older women are examined by using a Transtheoretical Model (TTM), and the Adherence Model (AM). After the examination it was concluded that interventions should be individualized to women's level of nonadherence and common core strategies should be included to encourage women to ask for a mammogram and enable access to a screening facility.

Disciplinary split: a threat to geriatrics interdisciplinary team training

Article Abstract:

The influence of cultures, regulations and attitudes of individual disciplines on interdisciplinary training efforts at the first eight geriatric interdisciplinary team training (GITT) programs is examined. Physician trainees were the least enthusiastic participants in GITT due to the inconsistent medicine faculty support of the program and due to disparity in the level of training by discipline of GITT participants.
