The Northern California chronic care network for dementia

Article Abstract:

The Northern California chronic care network for dementia brought together California's major managed care, community-based care, consumer education and advocacy providers in new partnerships to improve the care of persons with dementia, enrolled in managed care plans and their family caregivers. Description of the Northern California network's partnerships and its intervention and challenges are presented.

Guidelines abstracted from the American Academy of Neurology's Dementia Guidelines for early detection, diagnosis, and management of dementia

Article Abstract:

The benefit of screening different groups of elderly individuals with mild cognitive impairment in detecting dementia in a general and specialty practice is determined in the light of the American Academy of Neurology's Dementia Guidelines. The key issues in the management of dementia are discussed.

Care of dementia and other mental disorders in assisted living facilities: new research and borrowed knowledge

Article Abstract:

Mental care health (MH) care is considered an important component of the services that should be provided in assisted living facilities. However, interpreting and applying their findings requires integrating them with knowledge about the care of nursing home (NH) residents with these conditions.
