Thrift shopping has several advantages, including meeting nicer people such as friendly shoppers and sweet-natured clerks, not making any expensive mistakes, getting real bargains and contributing to a good cause. Like everything else, however, thrift shopping should not be overdone to the point that it becomes a compulsion.
