Wisdom of our elders: Vietnam a mistake? No, says General Westmoreland

Article Abstract:

General William C. Westmoreland evaluates American involvement in Vietnam as a positive action on the part of the US government. For Westmoreland, it would have been a greater mistake not to have fought against communism. The goal was to keep it from spreading and this had been achieved.

An adult can increasingly find similarities between his and his parent's behavior as he undertakes parenting. Similarities in philosophies, eccentricities, mannerisms and work ethics are some of the areas which can show similarities between an adult child and his parents.
