A help or hindrance: the impact of job training on the employment status of disadvantaged women

Article Abstract:

Issues related to job training programs are examined, focusing on evaluating their effectiveness in improving the job status of low-income women. Topics include the need to devise reliable research strategies; factors related to transitioning to full or part-time work; and the overall conclusion that job training has little effect on employment probability.
