A.N. Whitehead, information and social theory

Article Abstract:

The work of A.N. Whitehead is introduced and his relevance to contemporary social theory is analyzed. The way a range of authors have utilized the work of Whitehead across a range of topics and holds that there is a need for a general introduction of his work that would open up his ideas and possible impact to a wider readership is demonstrated.

The new tarde: sociology after the end of the social

Article Abstract:

Thinkers have begun to revisit Tarde and to develop a theme of the significance of Tarde's thought as a harbinger of postmodern theory. Tarde's theories in the light of new reception are examined with evaluation of disclosure's potential to be integrated in to mainstream philosophy and social theory.

Destabilizing social communication theory

Article Abstract:

The implications of instability are introduced into the social communication theory and are conceptualized as complex uncertainty. The relationship between uncertainty and social communication is examined through a theoretical model.
