An investigation of cross-cultural differences on the impact of productivity interventions: the example of ProMES

Article Abstract:

A productivity intervention ProMES is used to examine whether the success of organizational interventions can be influenced by the culture of the country in which they are implemented. Results indicate that such interventions may be more successful in some European countries than in the United States because certain types of cultures make it easier for ProMES implementation.

Organizational change and self-concept threats: A theoretical perspective and a case study

Article Abstract:

The self-concept based theoretical perspective for analyzing and interpreting employees' reactions to organizational change is presented. The finding is in terms of testable propositions, suggest directions for further research, and offer some practical implications of suggested perspective are summarized.

Coping with the sudden loss of an indispensable employee: an exploratory case study

This article discusses the impact an indispensible employee can have on a firm. The authors, analyzing a small manufacturing firm, maintains the loss of an indispensible employee did not negatively impact the firm's productivity level.
