Are perseverance and self - efficacy costless? Assessing entrepreneurs' regretful thinking

Article Abstract:

A study on the influence of characteristics such as personal perseverance and self-efficacy in managing newly formed businesses is presented. Do entrepreneurs and non-entrepreneurs differ on these attributes, and do these positive attributes co-occur wit h significant personal costs, such as the tendency to experience regretful thinking is also discussed. The study shows that entrepreneurs are high on self -efficacy, and on two distinct aspects of perseverance of, perceived control over adversity and perceived responsibility regarding outcome of adversity as compared to non-entrepreneurs. The other findings are also presented.

In a research among hospital nurses, individually and in teams, differences are found by an investigation into goals efficacy, or an employee's belief in capability to perform, and effectiveness at the individual and team level.

The development of self-efficacy during aviation training

Article Abstract:

Research is presented concerning the factors which affect self-efficacy among trainees participating in a flight-training programme. The relationship between training and post-training performances are discussed.
