Does sticky information affect the locus ofinnovation? Evidence from the Japanese convenience-store industry

Article Abstract:

The importance of the stickiness of innovation-related information factor on the locus of innovation was established based on an analysis of 24 innovations in the Japanese convenience-store industry. The industry revealed that the stickiness of innovation-related information factor can be utilized to forecast the locus of innovation. Such finding validates the hypothesized relationship between the stickiness of innovation-related information and the locus of innovation.
