Empirical evidence on faith-based organizations in an era of welfare reform

Article Abstract:

Based on data from Indiana's welfare reform experiment, an analysis done on the characteristics of individuals who receive assistance from faith-based organizations (FBOs), and a comparison made of FBOs with nonreligious organizations (NROs) are presented. Results concluded that welfare recipients are more likely to receive assistance from FBOs rather than NROs.
