Explaining child nutrition in Vietnam

Article Abstract:

Several factors contribute to the existence of child malnutrition in Vietnam. Lower parental education levels and belonging to an ethnic minority are two factors that strongly influence whether a child receives enough nutrition. Additionally, the order of a child's birth also strongly influences whether nutritional needs are met. However, gender bias appeared to play no role in whether a child received adequate levels of nutrition.

Explaining Ethnic Differentials in Credit Market Outcomes in Zimbabwe(*)

Article Abstract:

Group variations in credit demand can explain the ongoing disparity between blacks in whites for credit approval in Zimbabwe. Since Caucasians have a historically advantaged economic position, many are able to obtain funds elsewhere, without applying for credit. Blacks however have no such advantage. Therefore, more of them seek credit, increasing their rejection statistics.
