Funding collaborative juvenile crime prevention programs: Does it make a difference?

Article Abstract:

Panel data is analyzed to determine whether funding for collaborative juvenile crime prevention programs reduced arrests in California counties. Funding is associated with little to no overall reductions in arrests for felonies, misdemeanors, and status offenses however, estimates of arrests prevented varied across each of the 14 counties that received funding.

Cost-effectiveness analysis of the New South Wales adult drug court program

Article Abstract:

A cost-effective evaluation of an adult drug court (ADC) program was conducted in New South Wales, in Australia. Survey results show that, for the 23-month period of the evaluation, the ADC was more cost-effective in decreasing the frequency of offending for those outcome measures selected. The key issues faced in the evaluation are discussed.

Statistical analysis of relation between marriage and welfare of single mothers in Canadian provinces, based on matching of propensity scores to determine probability of marital union, is presented.
