Who weaves and why? Weaving, loom complexity, and trade

This article explores the relationship between craft production, the sexual division of labor, and the social aspects of trade, focusing specifically on women weavers. Topics addressed include the economic aspects of the gendered craft of weaving, as well as the relationship between gender and loom technology.

Article Abstract:

Global war does not maintain itself as an imperial ordering power without 'opacifying' every regulative idea of peace. 'Postmodern' peace is contemporaneous with war, illustrating its difference in a creative plot of affects that can no longer find base in any remembrance of the being of peace.
