Influence of Jean Gottman's thought on national development plans in Japan

Article Abstract:

The influence of Gottman's thought on national land plans that includes mega polis in Japan, the importance of the natural environment in a metropolis and decentralization of business functions to sub-centers in metropolitan areas is highlighted. After the formulation of the Tokaido mega polis, the importance of the natural environment in urban space, emphasized by Gottman, was included in various aspects of the National Land Plan in Japan.

Love and hatred: Changing relations between the city governments of Budapest and the national governments

The changing relationship between Budapest and the Hungarian national government over the past 130 years is presented. The different political and economic circumstances in the country, alteration of love and hatred characterized this relationship.
