"Head Start works because we do": Head Start programs, community action agencies, and the struggle over unionization

Article Abstract:

Teachers in Head Start programs have been attempting to unionize while the Community Action Agencies that run the programs have attempted to fight this trend. There is no inherent reason why the two sides cannot cooperate to address both their concerns, many of which are mutual. Solutions could be found in new laws and regulation as well as direct negotiation and dispute resolution.

Article Abstract:

Distance, physical and perceptual as well as the boundaries that protect and divert communication is the major factors in international relations. It is argued whether 21st century will reverse the process of fragmentation of the world system of states and whether the new states determine their boundaries.

The challenges and important issues that should be considered while developing faith-related services for youths are presented. The study deduces the results from the experiences of Florida's Department of Juvenile Justice that tired to develop a community-based program for incarcerated juveniles.
