"Indian" geopolitics: Unity in diversity or diversity in unity?

Article Abstract:

An overview of geopolitical impulses and characteristics of ancient and medieval India is provided from a geo-historical perspective followed by a critical examination of various facets of the Raj, in which the British imagined, constructed and represented India. It is concluded that the multi-layered nature of Indian geopolitics is attributed to the interconnection between the natural and imagined geographies on the subcontinent.
