Interdependencies between the science and technology infrastructure and innovation activities in German regions: empirical findings and policy consequences

Article Abstract:

Regional studies have been commissioned by the German Ministries of Economic Affairs in Baden-Wuerttemberg and North Rhine-Westphalia. Their objective was to identify important trends in future technology development and to devise ways in which the regions can prepare for such developments. The results have suggested interdependencies between the innovation activities of the respective regions and their technological infrastructure.

Determining factors in the success of R&D cooperative agreements between firms and research organizations

Article Abstract:

The impact of a series of contextual and organizational factors on the success of 800 cooperative agreements between Spanish firms and research organizations is analyzed. In the case of firms, the most outstanding factors are commitment, previous links, definition of objectives, and conflict.
