Internationalization of corporate technology through strategic partnering: an empirical investigation

Article Abstract:

More companies are recognizing the importance of setting technological innovations at a competitive and international level. This trend is observed most particularly in the information technology and telecommunications market. Inter-firm strategic partnering has been considered by some corporations as a vital step for improving corporate innovation. Joint technological development has been considered as the solution to meeting increasing global competition and addressing complex technological systems.

Strategic technology partnering during the 1980s: trends, networks and corporate patterns in non-core technologies

Article Abstract:

Technology partnerships between firms in the chemical, aviation and defense, automotive and heavy electrical equipment industries increased during the 1980s. Analysis shows that partnerships contributed greatly to the techonological development of these firms. The partnership trend is also expected continue due to the globalization of the economy, growing competition and the reorganization of industries.
