Economic integration of major industrialized areas: an empirical tracking of the continued trend

Article Abstract:

Wage statistics from different industrialized countries have been used to investigate aspects of globalization and integration at the regional level. Globalization has meant that all countries and most industries are affected by one or a small number of macroeconomic indicators. However, globalization also implies within-group and between-group variations.
