Introduction

Article Abstract:

Gilles Deleuze offered a transcendental philosophy to the world that was so remote from others' experience and so complex that many misunderstand his place in philosophy. His contributions to intellectual life and thought need to be explored to clarify why Michel Foucault felt that the century should be known by Deleuze's name. Deleuze considered a life to be the transcendental, defining a life physically, emotionally, as well as a collection of events and other concepts.

Deleuzean ethics

Article Abstract:

Gilles Geleuze wrote about ethics but was rejected as immoral because he tied ethics to the physical being rather than making ethics a purely mental exercise. The ethics in his philosophy was an integral part of culture and society being an exchange between the virtual world of the mind and the physical plane. Geleuze saw ethics as an expansion of the social bonds between people with friendship and love as the most crucial aspects of morality.

Questionnaire on Deleuze

Article Abstract:

Eric Alliez believes that Gilles Deleuze was affirming pure philosophy and that philosophy as a discipline has difficulty recognizing the connections between schools of thought. Philosophers need to overcome the belief in a division between German and American philosophy while also philosophies need to stop seeking to be contemporary by cutting off contact with Greek and other older philosophies.
