The Japanese American incarceration: the journey to redress

Article Abstract:

The internment of the Japanese Americans in the Western United States after Pearl Harbor and their later campaign for restitution is discussed. The Japanese American Citizens League launched a campaign for restitution, an apology by Congress, and money to establish an educational trust fund 30 years after this took place.

Creative problem solving and human rights

Article Abstract:

Creative problem solving, an offshoot of alternative dispute resolution, is discussed. The approach uses the cujltural and organizational dynamics that spawn hiuman rights violations to devise innovative methods to minimize these violations.
