Jim Mueller, Veteran of Foreign War's (VFW) Commander-in-Chief is determined to make his mark on the newest generation of war veterans by focusing on VFW's core mission. Mueller's top priorities dovetail nicely with the four traditional pillars of VFWEs foundation which are rehabilitating the disabled, assisting families in need and promoting defense and community service.

Finns fought for rights and recognition as veterans

Article Abstract:

The World War II veterans of Finland who stood out as a symbol of determination is presented. The people of Finland are so determined and honored their warriors that they fought for their rights and recognition as veterans and the country serves as a model to others as to how to honor its warriors.

Remembering those in combat: Recognizing service in Afghanistan and Iraq

Article Abstract:

The trademark combat chronologies are publishing on the ongoing wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and this is the first time chronologies have produced before the conclusion of a war. These chronologies serve as minor tribute to those people who are fighting and risking life in a war zone.
