Terms of same-sex endearment

Article Abstract:

One of the agenda of the gay liberation movement is the eradication of language inequality as their sex has been given titles and terminologies that are personally degrading such as the terms, queers and faggots. Their fight for the acceptance of same-sex marriage has resulted again to a debate on this issue. They find it insulting that this union be termed by the press as queer marriage, gay marriage or same-gender marriage. For them, the most apt title for this is same-sex marriage as it is the term that is most relevant and informative.

A guide to teaching actively about sexual orientation

Article Abstract:

Sexual orientation has recently become a subject actively taught in public schools. With its placement in the education curriculum, it has served as a means of developing self-esteem and resiliency, promoting and enhancing family relationships and counteracting inaccurate and misleading teachings. Active teaching of sexual orientation in schools has also given all accurate answers to questions that students might asked, thus eliminating ignorance and stereotypes.
