The determinants of success of R&D projects: evidence from American-Israeli research alliances

Article Abstract:

Data on American-Israeli research alliances is analyzed to investigate the success of R&D projects. It is revealed that the size and organizational form affect the probability of technical success and duration to commercialization in a way that suggests departing from neutrality by preferring less established firms.
