The globalization of American law

Article Abstract:

American feel of global law and society is not merely due to American origins or influence, but to a similarity in the situation of the individual vis-a-vis large, modern, and deeply legal social matrices that are vaguely but inescapably 'global' and 'American'. As a result of the simultaneous oppositions and interpenetration between law and society, description of the relationship between law and a particular social phenomenon is difficult.
