Article Abstract:

The study, scope and organization of foreign-affiliated research and development (R&D) have been analyzed by interpreting the results gathered from a survey on 200 foreign-affiliated research laboratories in the United States. It was cited that technological events are some of factors that influence globalization of innovation. Modeling the persistence of organizations in an emerging field: the case of hepatitis C

Article Abstract:

Powerful and prestigious organizations are more likely to persist in a community's research and development network. Using failure time modeling techniques, the persistence of organizations in the hepatitis C community was found to depend on the location and position of organizations in the research network, regardless of network size. However, an organization's power and prestige does not guarantee productivity.
