The voices of rhetoric and politics in social epistemology; for a critical-rationalist multiculturalism

Article Abstract:

The book 'Philosophy, Rhetoric, and the End of Knowledge: The Coming of Science and Technology Studies' can be defended against its criticsms by viewing it as critical-rationalist multiculturalism. The aim is for progress in science studies out of the field of academic disagreements. The social epistemology to achieve this must analyze rhetoric and transcend multicultural politics, to democratize a universal science.
