Work values in East and West Germany: different weights, but identical structures

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to ascertain if differences exist in terms of work values between East and West Germany. Results provided evidence to the commonly held notions that there are fundamental differences in the work values of East and West Germans. Through the use of multidimensional scaling, the research proved that the structures of work values are quite similar between the two Germanies. Both samples exhibited radex patterns, thereby supporting the ERG-dependency and the performance-dependency aspect in the same manner. ERG stands for existence, relatedness and growth needs.

My search for Douglas MacArthur

Article Abstract:

A writer reveals the historical flaws that marred the memory of Gen. Douglas MacArthur. The Bonus Army was not the general's fault but that of his Asst. Chief of Staff, George Van Horn Moseley. Accounts of MacArthur's actions after Japan attacked the Philippines were also seriously flawed.
