Adolescent nicotine dependence and smoking cessation outcomes

Article Abstract:

A study of the effect of nicotine dependence in adolescent smokers on the success of two different smoking cessation programs is examined. The study showed that a brief cessation program was only effective with the lightly addicted and that an intensive, long-term program was more effective for teenagers with a strong addiction to nicotine.
